In 2022, 57% of Canadians expressed interest in using e-mental health services, up from 51% in 2021. Usage remains modest, with 13% having accessed such services and 10% doing so in the past 12 months. Among users, 48% accessed free services, while 20% used private insurance. Common modalities included telephone (42%), websites (32%), and mobile apps (19%). Popular platforms were Wellness Together Canada (10%), Kids Help Phone (7%), and Bounce Back (6%). Most users found e-mental health tools easy to navigate (88%) and were satisfied with virtual care (84%). Notably, 38% avoided an in-person visit, and 33% said the service helped them during a crisis.
