This section summarizes Canadians’ experience accessing electronic health records (EHRs) for individuals they care for. Among caregivers, 62% are satisfied with the access they have to care recipients' health information online, while 19% report not having access. Challenges include navigating multiple portals and not always knowing how to access records. Gaps in care coordination are also noted—nearly 28% have encountered communication issues between providers, and 18% believe such gaps negatively impacted the health of their care recipients.
