e-Mental Health services refer to mental health support delivered through internet technologies such as apps, videoconferencing, and text. In 2021, 10% of Canadians surveyed reported using e-Mental Health services, with 7% using them in the past 12 months. Popular platforms included Wellness Together Canada, Kids Help Phone, and Bounce Back. Over half of respondents expressed interest in accessing e-Mental Health tools for conditions like anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. Nearly half of users found these services easy to navigate and were satisfied with the virtual care received. Many users reported avoiding in-person visits and benefiting from crisis support through e-Mental Health platforms.
