This section highlights Canadians' ability and confidence in using online health information and their engagement with health care providers. In 2021, over 64% of Canadians agreed or strongly agreed that they know how to find and use helpful health resources on the Internet. About 93% preferred to view lab test results as soon as available. Patient involvement in managing their health remains high, with over 50% extremely involved and 60% extremely confident in joint decision-making with providers. However, only 9% of respondents had asked their doctor about digital health options.
