Digital Health Equity Analysis: Patients’ Access to Personal Health Information Electronically

One of the key components of Canada Health Infoway’s Shared Pan-Canadian Interoperability Roadmap focuses on enabling access to health information for all Canadians. However, inequalities in access due to social determinants of health may still exist. The Digital Health Equity (DHE) analysis aims to investigate these access disparities. It explores variations in electronic access to personal health information (PHI) across various sociodemographic, socioeconomic, health-related, and digital factors. This analysis uses data from the 2023 Canadian Digital Health Survey (CDHS), which was commissioned by Canada Health Infoway.
