Survey Topics

The survey collects data on access to and use of a range of digital health services, including electronic access to personal health information and patient summaries through patient portals, AI-powered chatbots for health concerns, online appointment booking and rescheduling, and virtual care services. It also gathers information on factors associated with access and patterns of use, such as socio-demographic, economic, racial, geographic and health status characteristics. In addition, the survey includes a set of patient-reported experience measures (PREMs) that capture experiences and perspectives related to connected health, care coordination, and the growing use of AI scribes to convert healthcare provider–patient conversations into clinical notes for documenting patient visits.
